A Southern California county says it will offer free coronavirus testing to any resident who wants it.

Riverside County health officials said Friday that testing will be available to residents even if they don’t have symptoms of the virus. A county spokeswoman said until now testing was offered only to residents with symptoms or close contact with an infected person.

Riverside County has reported more than 2,400 cases of the virus and 69 residents have died.
