UPDATE: Snap Inc., the parent company of Snapchat, started publicly trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “SNAP” on Thursday. 

Shares of Snap Inc. opened for trading at $24, up about 41 percent from the tech IPO price of $17 a share.

The company is valued at 33 billion dollars.

This is the biggest tech IPO since ALIBABA in 2014.
