It’s a day devoted to cereal!  Monday is National Cereal Day!

According to NationalCerealDay.com, cereal was first introduced to American diets during the Civil War.

By 1939, thanks to sugar and marketing, cereal as a health food started to change.  This spurred the rise of many of the sugary concoctions we see on store shelves today.

So, what is your favorite cereal?  Tell us on the WPTV Facebook page.
