BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — As temperatures continue to warm up starting Saturday, cooling centers in Bakersfield, Arvin, Shafter, and McFarland will be open.

The centers will be open today, Sunday and Monday starting at 11 a.m.

In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, officials are asking all cooling center visitors to wear a face covering. Visitors will also be screened for their temperatures and symptoms upon entry.

Visitors who have a fever or are exhibiting symptoms will not be allowed in the center. All visitors must also practice social distancing.
