BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Four drivers were arrested over the weekend during the Bakersfield Police Departments DUI and driver's license checkpoint.
According to BPD, one driver was arrested on suspicion of a previous hit-and-run. Another driver was arrested for driving a stolen vehicle and two drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
The Bakersfield Police Department held a DUI and driver's license checkpoint Saturday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday. The checkpoint was held in the area of East Truxtun Avenue and Inyo Street in East Bakersfield.
Along with this four arrests made, 28 drivers were cited for driving without a license and19 drivers were cited for driving on a suspended license. 49 vehicles were seized as a result of the check[point and 39 of those vehicles were impounded while 10 were released to licensed drivers.
