BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Latino COVID-19 Task Force is offering testing dates this week as Kern County faces the possibility of slipping backward in the state's reopening tier system.

Co-founder Jay Tamsi joined 23ABC this morning to discuss how they're improving testing opportunities for the Latino community and the importance of getting tested.

The next testing day the Latino COVID-19 Task Force is offering is happening today at the Greenfield family Resource Center located at 5400 Monitor Street in Bakersfield. Tamsi said anyone can come and get tested.

Testing will continue this weekend as well at the following locations:

  • Saturday starting at 9 a.m. at Vallarta Supermarkets located at 820 Main St, Delano, California.
  • Sunday starting at 9 a.m. at Vallarta Supermarkets located at 1840 Cecil Ave, Delano, California.
