SHAFTER, Calif. — The annual Wings 'N' Wheels show at Minter Field in Shafter has been officially 'grounded' due to the pandemic.

Officials with the Minter Field Air Museum made the announcement on Monday morning, that due to the virus, this year's event on November 14, 2020 has been canceled.

It's the biggest fundraiser of the year for the museum, which relies on donations to keep it's doors open.

Minter Field was a training base for pilots during WWII and has hosted numerous events over the years.

Ron Pierce, the Chairman of the Museum, is asking anyone who was planning to enter a car this year, or maybe just attending the event, to consider donating that amount to the museum.

The museum is a 501 (C) 3 and all donations are tax-deductible.

You can mail your donations to: Minter Field Air Museum, P.O. Box 445, Shafter, CA 93263
