BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The David Marcus 'Thumbs Up' Scholarship Foundation handed out nine $1,000 scholarships to local seniors this year. The organization is holding a yard sale Friday and Saturday, June 12-13, to raise money for the non-profit. There will some gems included for thrift buyers who come out to search. It's being held at 11506 Mockingbird Court. David's sister Arlene Aninion, the President of the Foundation, spoke to 23ABC about the event.
