American astronauts are currently in the middle of spacewalk on the International Space Station. 

According to NASA, Americans Jeff Williams and Kate Rubins are installing an international docking adaptor, which was launched on the SpaceX Dragon cargo ship last month. 

NASA says the installation of the equipment is "a metaphorical gateway to a future". This comes as more missions are expected to be carried out at the International Space Station.
