LONDON, England — A Banksy painting self-destructed right after it was won at a Sotheby's auction last week, and the bidder, whose identity has not been made known, will still go through with the purchase.

The London auction house said 1.04 million pounds was paid for "Girl With Balloon", which surprised everyone in the room when the painting partially moved through a shredder concealed in the frame.

The painting has been retitled "Love is in the Bin" and authenticated by Banksy, an artist with a face no one has seen.
