BAKER3SFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — Here at 23ABC, we are continuing to elevate and highlight African American voices throughout black history month.

All while showcasing events taking place right here in our community, like the one held Saturday, in Central Bakersfield.

Every Saturday at 2 p.m. in February, at Mill Creek Christian Church, an African American History play is held to honor unrecognized African American pioneers.

23ABC's Lezla Gooden attended the African American history play titled “Who am I”, gives a recap of the event.
