11:37 a.m. update: Bakersfield Police says the Cal Fire pickup truck ran a red light when it collided with the BPD cruisers, which was at the intersection going through a green light. 

5:45 a.m. update: BPD was headed westbound, while Cal Fire was heading northbound. They collided at the intersection. BPD officer complained of minor pain. No injuries with the Cal Fire driver. The crash is not inhibiting efforts with the Erskine fire. 

A BPD cruiser slammed into a Cal Fire pickup truck headed to Erskine Fire on Truxtun Avenue and Oak Street. This happened just after 5:00a.m. this morning.  No injuries are being reported. We have crew at scene gathering the latest information.
