Emergency crews are working to contain a brush fire in the Wofford Heights area of Kern County.
The Tillie Fire broke out just before 1 p.m. in the area of Wofford Heights and Sawmill Road, according to the Kern County Fire Department.
The blaze was reported to be moving uphill with strong winds and is between two to three acres in size.
KCFD and US Forest Service crews were battling the blaze, which was expected to be contained by 2 p.m. No one in the area was evacuated.
