Update: CHP has identified the driver as 38 year-old Tony Santiago.

The 9-year-old child has died, according to CHP.

The child was treated at Kern Medical after losing consciousness and having stopped breathing. The paramedics were able to revive the child for a short time but succumbed to the injuries.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a man was leaving a home at Grant Drive and Lincoln Avenue just before 8:30 Monday morning after a domestic dispute.

The CHP says the man was pulling out of the driveway aggressively, and hit a 9-year-old and a 12-year-old. The 9-year-old suffered major injuries and the 12-year-old suffered minor injuries. The two boys are the sons of the woman the man was arguing with.

Right now it's not known if the man will be facing any charges.
