An explosion rocked the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan tonight in New York, injuring 25 people.

None of the people injured are suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Windows in shops and cars were shattered and several blocks were closed off while authorities investigated what is being called an "improvised explosive device", which detonated inside of a trash can.

It is unknown at this time if the explosion was terror-related.
