One person has been taken into custody following a standoff at The Armory in southwest Bakersfield.

Bakersfield Police were called out to the gun store during a burglary at about 9:30 Wednesday night.

A witness said they saw three to four people inside the business from the surveillance cameras.

Bakersfield Police took 20-year-old Oscar Marin into custody on felony burglary charges and other related charges. Police believed another suspect was still in the store, after watching surveillance provided by the store's owner Christopher Cook. An hours-long standoff ensued and lasted until about 5 a.m. Thursday.

SWAT tore down a wall to enter the business, believing someone was still inside. They found no one.

Bakersfield Police say there was only one suspect.
