A truck fire snarled traffic on 7th Standard Road and tied up Kern County Fire crews Wednesday afternoon.

The tree-trimming truck caught fire near Magnolia Avenue just after 1 p.m. in an area east of Buttonwillow, according to California Highway Patrol dispatchers.

There were no immediate reports of injuries, but traffic in both directions of 7th Standard Road were delayed while fire crews cleared up the scene.
