UPDATE (May 14, 2017 12:49 p.m.): Leonel Ruiz, 31, was arrested for being an alleged felon in possession of  a firearm along other charges, according to Tehachapi police.

There were no injuries.

UPDATE (6:30 p.m.): After a 3 hour standoff, the man surrendered. No word yet on the reason for the standoff.

ORIGINAL: Kern County Sheriff's Office and SWAT are on the scene of a standoff in Tehachapi Saturday evening.

According to deputies, the suspect is barricading himself in a home on Valerie Lane. 

Officials believe the standoff could have something to do with a felony warrant.
