The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported the first documented case of sexual transmission of Zika from a woman to a man.
New York City's health department reported the case Friday.
Up to this point, Zika had mostly been spread through mosquito bites.
According to the CDC, all previously reported cases of sexually transmitted cases of Zika have been spread from men to their partners.
