The Los Angeles Times reports that police say a person driving a stolen vehicle led officer on a high-speed pursuit Friday night for about a half hour before colliding into multiple vehicles, then spinning out of control.
Officer Matthew Ludwig of the Los Angeles Police Department says the chase began about 9:45 p.m. in Sherman Oaks. The pursuit ended about 10:10 p.m.

KCAL-TV, which followed the chase from a helicopter, showed a dark-colored car ramming into vehicles stopped at an intersection before spiraling out of control.
Ludwig says officers detained one male and one female.
KABC-TV reports that a child believed to be under 5 years old was in the car. Police said the child was not hurt.
