Officials say a 19th COVID-19 related death has been reported at a California prison.

Officials with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation say an inmate at Avenal State Prison in Kings County died over the weekend from what appears to be complications from the coronavirus.

It's the first death at Avenal but 131 inmates there have tested positive for COVID-19.
