New COVID-19 numbers from Kern County Public Health Department were released Wednesday morning. Officials are reporting 84 new cases and the death toll now stands at 63. In all 2,930 people have recovered.
Officials also add 97 percent have either fully recovered or are recovering from home and 47,693 or just under 91 percent of the tests have come back negative.

According to Ryan Alsop, the chief administrative officer for Kern County said on Twitter "70 residents or 2% of those who’ve tested positive fare receiving some form of care for #COVID19 in an area hospital."

Today of the 4,108 residents who’ve tested positive for #COVID19, 3,975 or 97% are either fully recovered or are isolated and recovering at home, treating their symtoms on their own.
