BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Sheriff Youngblood today issued his latest update on COVID-19 and what KCSO recommends to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
The Judicial council recently met regarding the release of inmates early, they have decided to allow some inmates to be released, this number will be relatively small.
There are approximately 10 employees within the organization who have tested positive for COVID-19, none of which have had to be hospitalized.
There are two inmates that have also tested positive, they are being isolated and are receiving medical care if needed.
