COVID-19 cases in Kern County surpassed the 15,000 mark. Public health reported 442 new cases Monday morning. This brings the total number of local cases to 15,013.

According to public health, almost 10,000 of those cases are occurring in the 18 to 49 age group.

Public health announced no additional deaths.

The total here in Kern County remains at 123. Officials also reporting over 5,300 full recoveries with more than 9,000 people isolating at home.

More than 100,000 tests have come back negative.
