Delano police are establishing a temporary coronavirus response unit.

The department posted to Facebook saying the unit will be responsible for: Gathering and analyzing COVID-19 related information; determining related training and equipment needs; helping those most at-risk of the virus; put out public safety information through social media.

They added if you know anyone who is at higher risk and is not able to obtain the essentials they need, like food or water, contact any of these officers below.
