DMV to continue essential services through mail, online, kiosks, virtually

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The California Department of Motor Vehicles will offer Californians essential services online starting next week to continue processing essential transactions during the COVID-19 statewide stay home order.

Field offices will be closed to the public starting Friday and will reopen, virtually, April 2. All in-office appointments are canceled.

Services that are still available include:

Online services will continue to be available.
Kiosks statewide are available for customers to process various transactions.
DMV’s customer service centers will continue to operate during normal business hours at 1-800-777-0133 or connecting via the live chat feature on the DMV website.
