BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Adventist Health Delano, Kaiser Permanente and the Kern County Latino task force have partnered up to host a free drive-thru flu shot and COVID-19 testing on Thursday at Robert F. Kennedy High School in Delano.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, they believe it's likely the flu viruses and the virus that causes COVID-19 will both be spreading.
Organizers say an appointment is not necessary for the event.
Patients will not need to leave their vehicles. According to health officials, patients will drive up, complete a simplified screening process, and a staff member will administer the flu shot or the COVID-19 test.
It will be at 1401 Hiett Ave., between 2:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. on Thurs. Nov. 19.
