BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Golden Empire Transit announced today they will be furloughing 30 employees as a result of a reduced service schedule following the coronavirus outbreak.

GET will also move to a reduced weekend schedule running daily.

The reduced schedule will begin March 23 and will include fixed route buses operating from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., GET-A-Lift will operate for medically necessary appointments only, RYDE will also follow the reduced service schedule only running from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and X-92 will run a regular schedule.
