People across the nation received stimulus checks at the onset of the pandemic but even today the Internal Revenue Service isn't sure just how many people were paid.

The IRS reports that millions of Americans might still be waiting on stimulus checks. That's because there is no way to track exactly who is eligible for a stimulus check.

The IRS said it mostly relies on tax returns to process the payments but you don't have to have filed one to be eligible. Some people don't make enough money to file for returns and therefore they miss out on stimulus checks despite being in need.

The IRS created a special portal on its website for people to register to receive their stimulus checks. Residents now have until November 21st to register.
