KHSD extends school closure through May 1 in response to COVID-19 concerns

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — In accordance with the Kern County Superintendent of Schools, Kern County Public Health and Gov. Newsom's office, the Kern High School District has extended its school closures through May 1.

The first day back will be May 5. Teachers and staff are expected to return May 4.

Meal Service and Distribution KHSD will continue to provide “grab and go” meals during the closures at its 18 school sites, and Nueva High School Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

During Easter Break, meal services will be provided Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

There will be no meal services on April 10, and 13.
