If you don't like the idea of getting your nose swabbed to test for COVID-19 you might be in luck. Researchers are trying out a new oral rinse test in Louisville, Kentucky.

You swish the liquid for a minute kind of like a mouthwash, then, spit it back in the tube. It takes a day or two to get results from the oral rinse. That's on par with other COVID-19 tests.

And what it tastes like might surprise you.

"If you've ever drank a Red Bull, I'm going to tell you it's exactly what it tastes like, a natural product like that, like a flat Red Bull," said Greg Ingle, Lucid DX Labs CEO.

"I don't drink Red Bull, so I couldn't tell you, but it just tasted like very weak mouthwash," said Terry O'Mahoney who took the test in Louisville.

Added Martha Dick, who also took the test in Louisville: "I'm all for anything that would make it easier for people to be positive about being tested and not worried about it so much."

The rinse is currently being used for ESPN and other film crews tested on a regular basis.
