BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The COVID-19 pandemic has led to shortages of medical supplies and personal protective equipment used to protect frontline healthcare workers and the patients they treat.

Omni Family Health is asking for PPE donations to support the health and safety of their providers, staff, patients and the communities they serve.

As such, Omni is in need of cloth mask donations for our patients in need.

Surgical masks, N95 masks, face shields, disposable medical gowns and hand sanitizers are also in short supply, and donations of these supplies are also appreciated.

You can make a difference by donating today; please contact them at donations@omnifamilyhealth.org.

“While we are pleased with universal masking policies which provide protection for our staff and patients, such recommendations have increased the need for medical supplies and PPE. Although we have been able to keep up with demand fairly well,” stated Dr. Grace Tidwell, associate medical director, “we are now pressed for supplies and are looking to our community for help.”

Before coming to a health center, Omni encourages patients to call 800-300-OMNI (6664) to be evaluated for an in-person visit or a telehealth appointment.

A telehealth appointment is a safe and convenient way to ask a medical question, have a prescription re-filled, or speak to a mental health provider about concerns one may be experiencing during this unprecedented time.

Currently, patients can schedule telehealth appointments with providers during daytime, evening and weekend hours.
