(KERO) — The FDA has approved Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 12 to 15.

The Food and Drug Administration's action Friday is the first approval for this age group.

The vaccine from Pfizer and Biontech had previously been available for this age group under emergency use authorization, but now the manufacturer has standard approval for that age range.
