Public health announces two more local positive coronavirus cases overnight

The Kern County Public Health Department announced two more positive coronavirus cases overnight, bringing the total number of local residents testing positive to 34, and one non-resident.

Public health spokesperson Michelle Corson said they have conducted 1,602 test in Kern County. Of those tests, 647 came back negative and 920 are pending.

Corson said seven of Kern's positive cases were hospitalized at some point.
