Sheriff Donny Youngblood says there have been no cases in several weeks among deputies and inmates

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Sheriff Donny Youngblood delivered good news in his weekly update. He reports that their have been no new coronavirus cases in over a month among his deputies or inmates.

Youngblood spoke about businesses opening back up in Kern County. He reminds everyone that social distancing and hand washing is still essential during this time.

He says all deputies besides five are all back to work. He added that the five who are not at work aren't sick but are waiting for "clean tests" to come back.
