Tulare County announces third positive coronavirus patient

TULARE, Calif. — The Tulare County Department of Public Health has confirmed its third case of COVID-19 in Tulare County, our Fresno affiliate reported.

According to ABC7, the newest patient is in critical condition at Kaweah Delta Medical Center.

It is not yet known how the person contracted the virus, but the person is in isolation.

All employees and physicians who were in contact with the patients were wearing personal protective equipment and are being monitored for symptoms.

Last night Governor Gavin Newsom announced updated number for the coronavirus in the state.

According to Gov. Newsom, there are 392 confirmed cases in California.

That's up 57 from Sunday, or 15%.

Six deaths have been reported as of Monday night. Two of those deaths were announced Monday.
