DELANO, Calif. — 11 people were arrested and over 70 law enforcement officers participated in a Multi-Agency Street Interdiction Team Operation in the Delano and McFarland areas Friday morning.
Around 7 a.m. the Delano Police Department hosted the operation, which took place in over 73 locations. The targets in this operation were strategically chosen for their history and membership within the Northern and Southern Criminal Street Gangs, or parole/probation status.
The arrested individuals are outlined below:

- Jaime Rodriguez Oliva Jr. 30

- Enrique Guiterrez, 50
- Angel Barraza, 46
The participating agencies were, Delano Police Department, McFarland Police Department, Bakersfield Police Department, Kern County Probation Department, Arvin Police Department, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Parole Office, Ridgecrest Police Department, Taft Police Department, and the Kern County Sheriff’s Department.
Chief Robert Nevarez from the Delano Police Department and Chief Janet Davis from the McFarland Police Department would like to remind their communities that gang violence will not be tolerated and ask residents to call local law enforcement if they see crimes occurring or if they have information about past crimes.
