Additional arrests made in the May 29 vandalism of BPD memorial

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On August 20, Bakersfield Police detectives located an additional suspect responsible for the vandalism to the Bakersfield Police Department Fallen Officers Memorial during a protest on May 29.

Jaqueline Hernandez, a 19-year-old woman, was placed under arrest and booked into the Kern County Jail.

On July 10, detectives identified and arrested 27-year-old Salvador Ibarra, male, as an additional suspect responsible for the vandalism offense.

The third suspect responsible for this vandalism has not been identified and is described as an Asian man, 20-25-years old, short black hair, slim build, wearing a tan short-sleeve button-up shirt with collar, blue jean pants, dark undershirt, and a tattoo on left forearm.
