FRESNO, Calif. — A member of a Bakersfield street gang pleaded guilty on Tuesday to being in possession of a machine gun.
On August 28, 2019, 28-year-old Liodam Gonzalez fired a fully automatic handgun in a residential neighborhood in Bakersfield. When officers arrived they found the machine gun in Gonzalez's residence.
Gonzalez was a convicted felon and was a member of the West Side Baker street gang.
Gonzalez is scheduled to be sentenced on October 16th and faces a maximum 10-year prison term and a fine of up to $250,000.
