BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in the theft of a scooter.

According to the BPD, the theft took place on October 17th at about 8:54 a.m. in the 5100 block of Wilson Road. The suspect arrived at the scene of the crime in a black 2000's Jeep Cherokee with black wheels and tinted windows.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a shaved head, black jacket, and black pants.

The vehicle stolen was a red 2020 TaoTao Scooter with California license plate number 23R8226.
