BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking the community's help in identifying a suspect in an attempted carjacking.
According to the BPD, on December 12th the suspect approached two customers who were leaving a restaurant in the 2400 block of Columbus Street and assaulted them while attempting to take their vehicle. The suspect was unable to steal the vehicle and fled on foot from the scene.
The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his mid 20's. He is 5' 10" tall with shaggy brown hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and navy blue shorts.
