Bakersfield Police Department searching for suspect in car burglary

The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community's help in identifying a suspect in a vehicle burglary that occurred in the 1900 block of Columbus Street. According to the BPD, at around 12:30 p.m. on January 29th, the suspect shattered the victim’s vehicle window and removed the victim’s property before fleeing in his own vehicle.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 5'10" and 6'0" with a medium to heavy build. He was wearing dark jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt and brown or black work boots. He was driving an early 2000's, faded black, Cadillac Escalade, with tinted windows, chrome rear wheels and a black front left wheel. The Escalade had black luggage rails on the roof, chrome running boards, and a sunroof.
