The Kern County Sheriff's Office has identified the woman killed in a stabbing that took place on last week.

Denysha Langston, 25, was stabbed during an incident in the 1500 block of Pacific Street on May 6th. She was transported to the hospital where she later died from a stab wound to the chest. Another man was also injured, but he only suffered minor injuries.

A suspect, 46-year-old Leonard Herring Jr. was identified and an arrest warrant was issued. He was eventually located and arrested in the area of Flower and Haley streets later that same day.
