BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department arrested 34-year-old Angel Ortiz for stealing packages from a Southwest Bakersfield neighborhood.
Ortiz was captured on video Tuesday stealing a packaged telescope from a porch on Oxford Hills Drive. The video showed Ortiz taking the package from the porch and then getting into a light solver truck.
Investigation lead police to 5800 Garber Way where they arrested Ortiz. During a search, officers found the telescope as well as other stolen items.
Ortiz is due in court on Monday.
