BPD asking for help finding suspect in kidnapping, carjacking

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance finding a suspect wanted for carjacking and kidnapping.

On Monday at about 3:10 p.m., BPD said the victim was sitting inside her vehicle while parked in the 4200 block of Ming Avenue when the suspect entered the driver’s seat of the vehicle, forced the victim to remain in the vehicle, and fled the area with the victim still inside. The suspect threatened the victim while driving to the area of Romero Road and Stine Road where he exited the vehicle and fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20 years old, standing 5-foot 7-inches, weighing 260 pounds, short black beard, wearing a blue baseball style hat, blue shirt, dark baggy pants and white shoes.
