KCSO identifies driver killed in accident on Saturday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office has identified the driver of a vehicle that was killed on Saturday as 22-year-old Johnny Darrell Moten.

On Saturday at around 4:30 p.m., the Bakersfield Police Department was called to an accident in the 3100 block of Lotus Lane.

According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, when officers with the BPD arrived they found that the driver of a vehicle traveling southbound on Lotus Lane control and flipped over The driver, identified as 22-year-old Johnny Darrell Moten, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three passengers sustained maintained minor injuries.

At this time it is unknown why Moten lost control and the investigation continues.
