BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Bakersfield Police have confirmed that 26-year-old Ernesto Rodriguez Jr. is dead after an overnight shooting in central Bakersfield.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a call came in at 9:24 p.m. reporting Rodriguez was found laying down in a driveway at an apartment complex in the area of Oleander and California Avenue.

When officers got there, they found Rodriguez with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was transported to the hospital where he later died.

BPD only said the suspect was a man wearing dark clothing and a black mask.
