BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On Thursday, around 3:40 p.m., officers of the Bakersfield Police Department responded to Seasons Park at 5245 Harris Road regarding reports of a possible shooting.

When officers arrived, they located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Kern County Coroner’s Office at a later time.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no suspect information at this time.
