Authorities identify victim in Residence Inn shooting in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday around 4 p.m. on the Residence Inn located at 1622 Union Ave, which left one dead.

According to BPD a report of a shooting came in at 4 p.m.

The victim, later identified as 21-year-old Tazmein Leoshus English was found with gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

No suspect has been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
