BPD looking for suspect in hit-and-run, theft

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s help identifying a woman suspected of a hit-and-run and a theft.

On Monday, November 4, 2019, the suspect was involved in a collision in the parking lot of the Marketplace on Ming Avenue. During the incident, the suspect took the victim’s phone and fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a Black woman, approximately 30 years old and approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall. She is described as having black hair and a heavy build.

The woman was seen driving a vehicle described as a tan 2005 Lincoln 4-door sedan with paper plates.
